Colorectal Cancer Awareness: Join A Plus Family HealthCare on Wear Blue Day 2025

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and A Plus Family HealthCare is committed to combating this significant health concern. On Friday, March 7, 2025, we encourage everyone to participate in Wear Blue Day to raise awareness and support those affected by colorectal cancer.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, expected to cause about 52,900 deaths in 2025. cancer.org

While overall incidence rates have been declining by about 1% annually from 2012 to 2021, adults under 50 have experienced a 2.4% yearly increase during the same period. cancer.org

Regular screenings are vital, as they can detect precancerous polyps early, significantly reducing the risk of developing colorectal cancer. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends that adults aged 45 to 75 undergo routine screenings. jamanetwork.com
