Position Summary
The clinical nurse delivers professional and high-quality nursing care within a clinical setting. The RN plays a critical role in assessing patient health, developing care plans, administering treatments, and supporting patient education. This position requires collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure patient-centered care and optimal outcomes.
Requirements
Direct Patient Care
Conduct thorough patient assessments, document observations, and formulate personalized care plans.
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
Monitor patient progress, recognize changes in condition, and take appropriate action.
Prepare patients for medical procedures and assist providers during examinations.
Patient Education and Advocacy
Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and preventive measures.
Offer guidance on lifestyle modifications, chronic disease management, and wellness strategies.
Advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
Documentation and Compliance
Accurately document all patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in electronic health records (EHR).
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, HIPAA regulations, and state and federal laws.
Engage in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.
Team Collaboration
Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Communicate effectively with the care team to provide seamless and efficient healthcare services.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and outcomes.
Clinical Leadership and Support
Serve as a resource and mentor for other nurses, medical assistants, and team members.
Ensure exam rooms are prepared, stocked, and meet infection control standards.
Assist with diagnostic tests, specimen collection, and interpretation of results.
Qualifications
Education and Licensure
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required).
Current and valid state nursing license (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (required).
Experience
Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems (preferred).
