Position Summary
The clinical nurse (RN/LPN) provides essential nursing care and support within a clinical setting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. The clinical nurse works under the supervision of clinical manager or physicians, performing a variety of clinical tasks, including administering medications, monitoring patient health, and supporting patient education.

Key Responsibilities
Direct Patient Care
Provide compassionate and competent care to patients, including monitoring vital signs and documenting health status.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and other clinical procedures as directed by an RN or physician.
Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during exams.
Patient Education and Support
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
Answer patient questions and address concerns with clarity and empathy.
Promote healthy lifestyles by providing guidance on nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention.
Documentation and Compliance
Accurately document patient information, treatments, and progress in electronic health records (EHR).
Maintain compliance with organizational policies, HIPAA, and state and federal regulations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, including RNs, physicians, and medical assistants.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate care and share critical information.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning and problem-solving efforts.
Clinical Support
Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient care.
Collect and prepare lab specimens for processing.
Perform basic diagnostic tests, such as EKGs and blood glucose monitoring.
Qualifications
Education and Licensure
Graduate of an accredited LPN/RN program (required).
Current and valid state LPN/RN license (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
Experience
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems (preferred).
