A Plus Completes Successful Food Drive for St. John’s and Helping Hands
A Plus recently wrapped up a community food drive supporting two vital local food banks: St. John’s in Brownsville and Helping Hands in Elizabethtown. Both organizations are essential resources for families experiencing food insecurity, and our team united to strengthen their efforts through food donations.
Meeting an Essential Community Need
Food insecurity remains a challenge for many households in our region. By focusing on collecting nonperishable food items, we aimed to help replenish the shelves of our partner food banks so they can continue providing reliable support to the individuals and families who count on them.
Generous Staff Participation
A Plus team members across the organization contributed canned goods, boxed meals, soups, breakfast items, and other shelf-stable essentials. Every contribution, large or small, helped increase the impact of this effort and demonstrated our staff’s commitment to serving the community beyond the workplace.
Delivering Food to Local Partners
Once the drive concluded, donations were delivered to our two partner organizations:
St. John’s in Brownsville received a wide selection of canned vegetables, proteins, and pantry staples to distribute throughtheir community programs.
Helping Hands in Elizabethtown received boxed meals, pasta, canned goods, and additional food items that will directly support families in need.
Both food banks expressed appreciation for the support and the generosity shown by A Plus staff.
Continuing Our Commitment to Community Support
This food drive reflects A Plus’s ongoing dedication to strengthening local partnerships and supporting community well-being. By working together and contributing essential food items, we help ensure more families have access to nutritious meals when they need them most.
